- It's been raining all day and will no doubt rain tonight.
- Logan didn't want to bring a sleeping bag, he brought only one (thinnish) blanket and a pillow. He has nothing to put under him and the ground is very hard and rocky around here (unless you are in a mud puddle or sink hole).
- He's afraid of the dark.

Camping Out
Logan has gone to spend the night at a friend's house where eight boys plan to sleep in tents in the backyard. Sounds good on the surface, but I'm anxious because:
I retired as a technical writer years ago. Since then I've spent my time reading, writing, rabble-rousing and raising my two orphaned grandsons. Because they are now grown,I still spend time reading, writing, quilting, and in advocacy for many causes. Don't get me started on politics. My day-to-day life is fairly quiet, but my fantasy life is soaring, and I take mental excursions almost as good as the real thing.

Oh, he'll be fine, with 7 other teen boys there. They will be having too much fun to even think about being lonely or scared.
ReplyDeleteOf course, You Nanimous was absolutely right. They had a great time and the only ones who suffered were the mom of the house who had ten boys (not eight as originally planned) to deal with and Cinder who cried all night because he missed his boy. I need to let go just a little.
